Role Overview

The PR Client Director will manage and grow a portfolio of clients, driving world-class work and contributing to the agency’s financial performance by managing client budgets effectively. This role will mentor and train a team of junior staff, inspiring them to be the best they can be.

Responsibilities

  • Has a strong understanding of the client and their industry, market forces and client challenges and opportunities
  • Builds a strong and trusted bond with the senior members of each client team, understanding their overarching business objectives, KPIs, process and organisational structure
  • Delivers strategically sound strategy on each client, interpreting the brief and budget to create a considered plan that can be executed in budget
  • Sets the vision for what success looks like and ensures this aligns with client expectations.
  • Sets priorities across the team, ensuring each member is clear on their responsibilities and deadlines
  • Oversees the smooth and efficient running of each client in the portfolio, identifying areas where time can be saved, issues are occurring and things can be done better · Identifies issues early and quickly problem solves
  • Assesses budgets and burn-through weekly in order to manage margin, delivering accounts within the agency’s determined margin
  • Articulates complex concepts simply and drives influence while demonstrating social intelligence (knowing when to push and when to pull back)
  • Mentors and works with staff, particularly Senior Account Managers and Account Managers, to build their skill levels
  • Produces top quality briefing documents for suppliers and collaborative Collective businesses that require few clarifications and result in exceptional delivery
  • Sets compelling KPIs and ensures the team delivers
  • Manages performance issues swiftly with internal team members as well as external suppliers and agency partners

Along with Media Relations, Digital & Social and Strategy & New Business.

What You Bring

  • Minimum five years in PR or related industry
  • Is a true team player, not afraid to get your hands dirty to help junior or senior staff when require
  • Embraces a flexible working culture, understanding agency life is a life of swings and roundabouts
  • Contributes to the development of our culture and agency by being involved and engaged in team activity and leading an aspect of agency process
  • Rolls with the punches on clients and maintains a positive and mature attitude
  • Understands and contributes to progression plans for staff members, working with team members to develop their skills
