The Role You Will Play

We are looking for a gun Strategy Director who thrives on helping brands solve challenges others can’t and discovering and developing innovative marketing, sponsorship and partnership solutions for our clients.

We are looking for a well-rounded individual who loves crafting integrated strategies anchored in robust insights, creativity and solutions that help brands land impactful results.

We want someone:

  • That can take a complex problem and help our clients simply understand a way forward
  • A logical thinker who can develop detailed strategies and put these into clear and concise presentations to CMOs, Heads of Marketing and Brand Managers.
  • That understands the world of sponsorship and the role it plays in marketing and is able to develop unparalleled insights out of opportunities.
  • Who can challenge themselves, challenge our clients and is looking for a role offering a strong growth potential working alongside the Head of Strategic Partnerships, GM and MD and managing our Strategy Managers.
  • Who is an organised and driven person with great attention to detail and enjoys working in a fast-paced, dynamic & collaborative environment.

If you’d been working at Bastion Experience for the last 6 weeks you would have:

  • Developed a commercial sponsorship growth strategy for international expansion of one of the world’s largest sporting codes.
  • Validated the commercial return of a major horse racing activation to demonstrate the ROI to a brand
  • Analysed and provided recommendations on a global deal with the ATP Tour
  • Built a framework that analyses the effectiveness of marketing and sponsorship spend
  • Negotiated two major partnerships in Super Rugby and Netball for a global car rental brand.
  • Analysed potential arts and entertainment offerings that could support the launch of a new car in Australia.

What You Bring

  • 5+ years experience in a sponsorship, business development, consulting, marketing strategy or partnerships role.
  • A strong understanding of the Australian / global sports, arts and entertainment landscape.
  • Knowledge of sponsorship analysis and valuations tools and frameworks.
  • Strong research, analytical and strategic skills to thrive in a consultative role.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A natural operator with organisational skills to balance high-pressure projects concurrently.
  • Ability to drive new business conversations to generate revenue growth and contribute to the financial performance of the division.
  • Experience leading a high-performing team, and direct client relationships and projects.
