The Newport Beach Film Festival challenged us to create a simple, memorable, visually impactful campaign to support its position as one of the nation’s oldest, most respected film festivals that happens to take place in one of the most glamourous beach communities in the country.
Using iconic visual language that would be both familiar and resonate with the target, the avid cinephile, we created a clever visual “collaboration” that captured the glamorous world of Hollywood and the festival’s beachy home.
First seen in print in the LA Times, the iconic “5-starfish” visual migrated across the entire campaign, anchoring the OOH, digital banners, social media and onsite materials.
